In a previous post here at Telecom Rebirth, I complained that the VPN functions on my SMC8014 router were disabled. A commenter suggested that the VPN features could be enabled by calling up Comcast and asking them to do so. Unfortunately I learned that too late and had already setup a m0n0wall firewall VPN router.
Now then, fast forward to here in 2009. My SMC8014 router just kicked the bucket, and many more comments have accumulated on the previous post. Thankfully, one of those comments included the mso login and password. Since the cusadmin login didn't work, I tried the mso passwords. One worked!
After I logged in, all the VPN capabilities were there in their full glory. Not bad at all! Maybe I'll setup something with it one of these days.
