Vyatta Take Three

I've investigated Vyatta twice, albeit very quickly, only touching the surface. The first time involved only reading the documentation. The second time I delved a little bit deeper and I actually setup a virtual machine using QEMU to run it.

For the third time, I'm planning to run Vyatta on a real machine. I want to use a PC Engines main board and a compact flash card for storage. I'd like to setup a VPN and maybe a GRE tunnel.

My extra network endpoint at this moment is my mobile network connection through Verizon. Since I use a Kyocera KR2 EVDO modem, I won't have to fuss around with wvdial on Vyatta.
