In my opinion, ipv6 is ready for prime time. Problem is that its far from being widely adopted. That’s a problem, and I doubt its going to go away anytime soon.
When ipv6 does get adopted on a massive scale, networking will (I hope) get a lot easier, as routing tables will (hopefully) be a lot simpler.
When do I think ipv6 will get embraced by the network masses? Probably not until 2011 or later, unless of course we run out of ipv4 addresses in the mean time!
