XOHM Looks Cool

Sprint has launched their 4G, Wireless-N, 802.11n, WiMAX, or whatever you want to call it network. It looks really cool actually - it can reach up to 3Mbps speeds, and from what I understand, is a little more consistent in connectivity speeds than say EV-DO.

I'm also impressed with their product offerings. It appears that they have a service which is only $50 / month, and comes with 2 connectivity devices. If I understand that correctly, that enables you to have an internet connection at home or the office which can be connected to a local area network, as well as a portable PC card or USB dongle to bring along with a laptop. If that's true, that is awesome.

Telecommuting and travel communications will never be the same!

Besides WiMAX as a commercial service, 802.11n promises to be a nice addition to the wide world of wireless. Its capable of going further and supporting more access points. Very very cool.
