Google has open source their Android! This is great news, now everyone can play! I'm actually kind of curious as to how it works, so I might just download it and install it on a virtual machine. I'm sure that there are plenty of emulators which can be powered by it, so why not?
How will this affect the other cell phone operating systems? I'm not sure - I still have high hopes for Nokia's Maemo, and since they bought Trolltech recently, they may have some big things planned.
