When I purchased my new MOTO W755 cell phone, I also switched to a cheaper calling plan. Since I have way fewer minutes, I'm trying to keep better tabs on how many minutes I use, so I can avoid going over and getting hit with the steep $0.45 / minute charges.
To do this, I usually use the #646 number to get a free text message with information about my account including how many minutes I've used. I also use the My Verizon feature of the Verizon Wireless website, where I am able to get information like this:
