Why Is It So Hard To Cancel My Comcast Account?

Recently I had to cancel a business Comcast account. The account was for business service to my home, and I still have business service hooked up to my office.

I had to cancel because my family and I have moved out of state. Since this was a long time in the works, I started early with the process. I emailed my representative about halfway through July, and he emailed me back a form to fill out and fax. I did so on the 21st of July, and figured that was it.

It would have been it from my perspective, except for the fact that the new tenant was prevented from signing up a new account, because my old account had not been canceled. This went on until I spent an hour on the phone with Comcast last Friday, in the midst of my move, getting transferred again and again until I managed to give my "verbal cancellation".

Up until then, my experience with Comcast Business had been pretty good, but the cancellation was such a surprisingly awful experience, I'm hesitant to sign up again.

i completely agree.

I think they try to irritate you as a business strategy.

what i mean is. making the cancelation process such a pain in the ass crack hat you give up and decide not to cancel cause its way too much trouble for you to handle.
