This morning my Comcast business network experienced a very strange outage - the cable modem was connected and had the “traffic enabled” setting, but no packets were routing. I called customer support and the were actually very helpful (even at 3AM!), but we weren’t able to get the static ips routable. Must have been a router crash somewhere along the path.
I did some reconnaissance while I was trying to debug the problem, including some nifty screen shots of the webGUI on the SMC Router SMC8014WG:
