We just got Verizon FIOS television service installed, as it is now available in our town. You get a 200 dollar gift card or a 19 inch flat screen if you sign up for their TV, internet, and phone service (sweet!). After hearing this, we basically dropped Comcast like a bad habit. With the new installation, I finally got my hands on a DVR and we now also purchased the Showtime package which I've been meaning to get.
I'm loving the whole setup so far. The picture quality seems clearer and the DVR function I don't think I can live without now. Another plus of having the TV package, internet, and phone is that you get it all on one bill. This helps cut down on the hassle of having to deal with one company for your internet/phone and another for your TV. Simple is always better in my opinion.
I meant to ask you - did you go for the $200 gift card or the $19 inch TV?
For business fios you only get $20 off the bill and a $99 rebate. :-(
