From comcast to Fios

I just made the switch from comcast high speed internet to Verizon Fios. My cousin Al told me that it was cheaper and faster so I figured I'd go ahead and do it. The internet works great and is definitely a lot faster than comcast. The technician was friendly and knowledgeable. He said a lot of people are making the switch from Comcast to fios.

The only gripe I have is the fact that the actiontec router is not compatible with the xbox wireless adapter. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out what the problem was. It was not until I hit the web and did a little research that I found out that the specific router they supplied me with doesn't work with xbox live. This was extremely frustrating because the main reason why I switched to fios was to get a faster and better connection on my xbox. I specifically asked them if I could use my xbox with the setup they were supplying me with. They assured me that everything would work fine. What they did not clarify was the fact that yes it will work with the xbox, but not with the microsoft wireless adapter. Apparently Verizon and Microsoft are "aware of the problem and working on a solution." Yeah I've heard that one before.

But yeah, so anyway, long story short I used my old router as an access point to my 360. Basically this means that I connected my old router to the Actiontec and my xbox was able to get an internet signal by going through my old Lynksys router. So anyway the fios works great other than this unnecessary headache. I suggest that Verizon, Actiontec, and Microsoft get this squared away or they're going to have a lot of angry gamers banging on their doors.
