I built a WRAP (wireless router application platform) device today using pfSense, and I'm really impressed how this device is working out. I'm hoping to get wider and wider wireless coverage - as much as I can. I still don't know why wireless internet service doesn't simply blanket the earth. Wouldn't that be nice?
While I'm working on these wireless devices, I'm exploring some different antenna designs. I have simple "rubber ducky antennas", and I'm thinking about getting some different kinds, or making my own.
