I just recently started subscribing to VZ Navigator on my Verizon cell phone. The program will cost you about twelve bucks a month, but it is definitely worth it's weight in gold. If you have a terrible sense of direction like myself then getting this feature is a no brainer. I couldn't tell you how many times this baby has gotten me out of a jam, in fact, I haven't been lost once since I started using it.
How VZ Navigator Works
The program works in conjunction with the built in GPS. All you have to do is type in your destination and the GPS handles the rest. It is voice automated and tells you when to turn a couple minutes beforehand. My favorite feature is its ability to recalculate the route if you accidently make a wrong turn. Another sweet feature is its ability to locate the nearest restaurants and gas stations. VZ navigation is making mapquest a thing of the past with its nearly flawless navigation system. I feel fully confident that I could make a trip from Boston to anywhere in the country with only this phone and the VZ navigator. No other maps or directions necessary. Many navigation systems that you would buy at electoronics stores will would run you a couple hundred bucks, whereas, this is only twelve bucks a month. I honestly don't know what other features these GPS could have that the VZ doesn't.
That sounds pretty cool, but $12 / month is pretty steep if you ask me.
