I setup a new Meraki Mini at my home today. This one is also on the Comcast Business network, so the bandwidth has very low latency. Good stuff. Enjoy! It's free for now at a slow speed, let's see how much traffic it gets.
I also setup another Meraki at the office, so the mesh has begun!
A couple of notes on the Meraki dashboard:
- The dashboard is really impressive. To add more nodes to a network, all you have to do is enter your order number.
- But what if you bought three minis, and only want to add two to your existing network? No problem! They thought of that. All three minis will be added to your existing network, and then you can move them to a new network easily.
- There is one odd behavior the dashboard exhibits though, the "active" network you are working on is stored it your browser session, so if you have multiple windows or tabs open, and change the network in one window, the active network is changed for all the windows. Not a big deal, but a little confusing!
